You can also try the below troubleshootin steps if the issue persists:
- Make sure the UFT Add-in for ALM is installed (you can re-run it and use the Repair option just to make sure it is not corrupted):
• Disable the User Account Control (UAC), if you are on Windows Vista, 7 or 2008. Based on the fact this is a requirement documented in few KB articles, including the most important regarding the permissions: Document ID KM183747 - What are the minimum permissions required for QuickTest Professional (QTP):
o Log in to Windows as an administrator.
o Go to Start Menu -> Control Panel -> System and Security -> Action Center.
o Click on User Account Control(UAC) settings link.
o Slide the slider bar to the lowest value (towards Never Notify), with description showing Never notify me.
o Click OK to make the change effective.
o Restart the computer to turn off User Access Control.
• Ask your System Administrator to Log on the machine with his credentials and test the issue, so we can isolate if the issue is related to permissions as the KB article above mentions.
• Then, make sure to install the Service Pack 2 (SP2), and Patches below for UFT 11.50:
