Unable to Connect UFT with Mobile Center 2.20

I have a new Mobile Center installation that is configured to run SSL on port 443. While we can get Connectors installed against the new server over SSL, we cannot get UFT to connect to MC.

Our MC server is version 2.20. We have tried connecting with both UFT 14.00 and 12.54. After we couldn't get 14.00 connected, we tried following the instructions on this page to make it compatible with UFT 12.54 - http://mobilecenter.microfocus.com/docs/en/2.20/Content/UFT_1254_support.htm - but we got the same exact error. In UFT, the error message that is displayed when testing the connection says "Connection failed: Unsupported Mobile Center version."

The error that gets returned in my HP.Mobile.log file –

2017-10-25 16:35:38,698 LogCatPackMobile [   1] ERROR JSON convert error. JSON string: . error message: * Line 1, Column 1  Syntax error: value, object or array expected. Func=MobileUtil::GetJsonFromAString File=MobileUtil.cpp Line=298 ThreadID=12000

Not a whole lot to go on. Is there something I'm missing here to get UFT to be able to connect to MC over SSL?

Can you access MC from browser on the UFT machine?

Please check http://mobilecenter.microfocus.com/Content/UFT/mobile_on_UFT_SSL.htm and see if you are missing importing the certificate on the UFT machine.

Re: Unable to Connect UFT with Mobile Center 2.20

Yes I can access MC from any browser on the UFT machine, connecting over https and port 443 which MC is configured for. No cert warnings, the full chain is there.

And yes I have already followed the instructions on that page to install the CA certs from MC on the UFT machine.
