Finding a value in a Parameter.

Is there a way to search a parameter for a specific value without having to loop through each value until it is found?  Was looking for a one line type search...  So if the sheet is Global, and parameter is MatlGrd and the search would be to find the value of GrdB in the list.  With that said, how would it handle multiple entries of GrdB??  Would it only find the first instance or filter by just that?  Basically how do we search for a unique value and an extended question of how do we find all instances.  First thought was to create a second parameter and still loop through the parameter and put an "X" in that second parameter if the condition is true.

Looking for some guidance on how to approach searches in UFT.  Please advise and thanks.  -R-
