HP AutoPass License Server
Currently, we have HP AutoPass license server (v8.3) installed and using for UFT concurrent licensing. But, we are having trouble with connection license server from windows 10 machine. Error "License server is not available". Do we need to upgrade the AutoPass license server? If yes, can we install this license server into another VM or server with same UFT license.
I've just encountered exaclty the same. Our Win7 machines are working fine with the existing 8.3 autopass server against both UFT 12.5x and UFT 14 but the new Win10 box can't connect.
Is it a case of installing 9.3 over 8.3 and it will pick up the licence keys and UFT will continue as normal? The HPE AutoPass License Server Migration pdf seems a bit vauge on this
If you have this Win 10 Update : https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3163018/cumulative-update-for-windows-10-version-1511-and-windows-server-2016-technical-preview-4-june-14,-2016 , you will need to update the Autopass server. Existing UFT licensing will not be lost.
Thanks for that, was about to do the upgrade this morning and have now noticed that the below folder structure doesn't exist:
- Take the backup of the data folder from the path C:\Program Files\HP\HP AutoPass License Server\AutoPass or C:\Program Data\HP\HP AutoPass License Server\AutoPass
Our server does not appear to have a Data folder and the structure is as follows:
C:\Program Files\HP\HP AutoPass License Server\HP AutoPass License Server\HP AutoPass License Server
so what exactly need backing up?
