HP UFT Support for Delphi Application

Hi Team,

We have an AUT which was developed on Delphi XE4 version. Upon selecting Delphi addin in UFT, it is still not able to recognize AUT objects correctly. Upon object spy it shows only "Desktop", without any hierarchy and when we try to record the AUT nothing is been recorded.

Can you please assist us as why UFT is not recognizing objects of our AUT and is there any Patch/ work around to get it done.

FYI, we are using UFT 12.02 version.

Please let me know if more information is required from my side.

Regards,

Dhawal

Re: HP UFT Support for Delphi Application

Have you enable the comunication between UFT and your Delphi AUT?

This is taken from 12.54 help, but something similar should be described in 12.02 help ( http://uft-help.saas.hpe.com/en/12.54/UFT_Help/Content/Addins_Guide/Enabling_Com_Between_QTP_and_Delphi.htm )

Re: HP UFT Support for Delphi Application

Thank You LaviniaC for the useful info.

Could you please suggest how frequently the compilation of these files should be required? Do we need to do this activity for first time only or after each build release?

Re: HP UFT Support for Delphi Application

It seems to be only one time update of the AUT, any build after it should contain the changes.

Re: HP UFT Support for Delphi Application

Dhawal,

Every time you have a new  release, you have to include these files and compile it, in order for automation to work.
