LeanFT Test Execution from ALM

Hi All,

I am trying to run a simple LeanFT Test by integrating it from ALM. I have created a LeanFT Test using Visual Studio with help of LeanFT MSTest Template provided by HP and it's runnning perfect if I run from Visual Studio.

Now I want to integrate it with ALM. So have created a LeanFT type test and added the required parameters under TestScript tab for my Test.

Framework: MsTest

DLL Path: Full path of my project dll from Debug folder of my project.

Fully Qualified ClassName: Namespace.ClassName

Test Method Name: my Test method name in my class mentioned above.

Now I have pulled my Test in TestLab and trying to run. Always gives same error.

LeanFT test runs on this host are not allowed.  You can change these permissions in the Remote Agent configuration file on the host computer.

Even I have verified my Remote Agent Configuration file and it has correct data as it expects.

<remoteAgent allowRun="true">
<runner path="C:\myDotNetSolution\LFT_MSTest\bin\Debug\"/>

Anyone have any idea about what's wrong here? Is there anything I missed here?

Have you started the LeanFT Runtime Engine manually on the test host? Please see this link for instructions:

You may have some sort of DCOM issue blocking it. You can set the DCOM permissions using this command:

<LeanFT installation>\Tools\Remote Agent\LFTDcomPermissions.exe -set

More details about DCOM can be seen here:

Micro Focus has instructions here:
and be sure you've followed instructions here:

And here is an article with step-by-step instructions:
Even though this article was created for older versions of VS and LeanFT, the steps are basically the same.

Also, if you are using the MsTest Framework, ALM has to be at least version 12.53 with Patch 2.
