LeanFT plug in could not install in Eclipse

After I reading guide in http://leanft-help.saas.hp.com/en/latest/Readme.htm and install LeanFT as below stop, however, I still could not find LeanFT menu in Eclipse or new LeanFT project templates are not available in the IDE

BTW,after I install UFT12.50, I restart my PC and Eclipse version is Version: Kepler Service Release 1

Install LeanFT step .

Step 1: select LeanFT plug-in when installing UFT12.50

Step 2:select eclipse install path as LeanFT Eclipse plugin path

Hi Catherine,

What edition of Eclipse Kepler SR1 do you have installed? Please note that standard edition is not supported by LeanFT 12.50, but only "Eclipse IDE for Java Developers". Please refer to https://softwaresupport.hp.com/group/softwaresupport/search-result/-/facetsearch/document/KM01802929 and https://softwaresupport.hp.com/group/softwaresupport/search-result/-/facetsearch/document/KM01859797 for additional details. Could you please install the Eclipse IDE version for Java Developers, reinstall LeanFT and verify the problem again?

Kind Regards,

Francisca

It seems we do not have permission to view the following links

Could you please list the LeanFT supported versions of eclipse

Even VisualStudio plugin doesn't seems to have installed properly as menu options in VS did not change.

Hi,

LeanFT supports Eclipse Kepler and above, however Eclipse Standard and Eclipse J2EE packages have prerequisites and the following plugins should be installed:

LeanFT 12.50: org.apache.commons.ioorg.apache.commons.lang3 and com.google.code.gson

LeanFT 12.51: com.google.code.gson

How to install plugins for Eclipse:

  1. Go to Help --> Install New Software…
  2. Insert the following url: http://download.eclipse.org/tools/orbit/downloads/drops/R20140525021250/repository/ into "Work with" field.
  3. Select the required plugins: search in "Orbit Bundles by Name: com.google.*" and "Orbit Bundles by Name: org.apache.*" for the required plugins above.
  4. Press Next and then Finish.

In regards with LeanFT VS plugin, LeanFT supports VS2012 and above. It doesn't support VS Express. Can you please tell what version do you have?

Vika

Hi,

In addition to my reply below and the explanation how to install prerequisites for the Eclipse Standard and J2EE packages, did you provide your Eclipse IDE deployment path during the installation?

Hi,

I am also having the same issue with Eclipse where I am not able to see LeanFT within Eclipse menu option. I installed Eclipse Mars (Java EE) and then installed LeanFT with correct Eclipse deployment path. Also I have installed all the prerequisites for the Eclipse as you suggested. But still not able to see LeanFT as menu option.

One thing I notice, there are two plugins folder for eclipse as listed below. The first one has only LeanFT jar installed and the second one has all the other jars files (including the ones that you have listed as prerequisit) for Eclipse. Is that how Eclipse suppose to work.?

...\eclipse\jee-mars\eclipse\plugins

...\.p2\pool\plugins

Hi,
I had the same problem with eclipse mars. I had to copy all contents of the "plugins"-folder into the "dropins" folder in the eclipse-directory.
