Hello  There,

So far there is no specific release date, However  the next QTP version is planned for the end of the year, however there is no official version, alpha, beta  or date to release.

Best,

Andrea

Hi

On good authority - next Release will be QTP 11.5 - to align with ALM and PC 11.5, due at the end of the year

Thanks

Is any plan to introduce programming language as script development language? Since Service Test uses C# for better flexbility in coding.

Thanks,

Ram,

QTp and ST as you know are very different applications, so they cannot be compared, there are not plans to change the vbScript with C# or any other language due the following:

1- QuickTest is based on scripts for testing.

2- Is the VBScript is changed the whole product would need to be designed from 0.

This indeed is not going to happen.

Best,

JG

Can anybody provide their inputs on following points:

1. Will QTP 11.5 support windows 8.?

2. What special features are aligned or expected in upcoming version of QTP. ?

3. Will there be any licensing model modifications as well for QTP since Cloud technology is making it's way into the industry very quickly.?

Thanks

Hi Shalabh,

Unfortunately the information about the support and new features of the next release of QTP have not been published, the next version it's expected to be released at the end of this year or beginning of 2013, unfortunately an expected date or ETA have not been confirmed yet.

Regarding WIndows 8 support, we already have confirmed with the lab team the support for this OS will be included on future releases of our product, however they have not confirmed the version or even if would be included as a patch for the incomming release.

Here you can find information about the official Enhancement Request:

Hope this helps.

I have reached out to different forums on enhancing QTP... no response.  I say this product will die in next year and decline to oblivion if no progress is made.

Check out Selenium, Geb ... lots of tools capturing market.   QTP doesn't even have sense of mobile which is around 50% of the internet market...

HP guys if u're listening... wake up... it's time.

Hi,

You will be able to use the same license server for UFT 12.02. UFT 12.52, however, requires a new one to be configured.
