QTP Parallel Execution in Server using Test Controller and Test Agents

Jump to solution

We are using UFT 12.52 for automating API applications where 10000+ test cases for different projects. We have to place the entire scripts in server and execute parallel for each projects at the server node with different user instances or trigger the scripts from Server node to different VM’s and we strictly don’t want to do any execution in local system.

Could you please guide us whether there are any enterprise solutions available for UFT to trigger parallel execution in server machines for various projects. Also we have explored a tool called LeanFT which is from HP for Dev-ops and parallel execution.

Or any other feasibility is available for executing UFT scripts parallel on different node.

Note: we are not using ALM for any integration of our scripts.

See these approaches.

1. You can create different jobs for different machines and use this http://www.testautomationguru.com/executing-qtpuft-scripts-using-jenkins/

2. Another Jenkins example for parallel execution. https://sumeetkushwah.com/2015/03/24/implementing-ci-using-jenkins-and-uft/

3. Basic QTP DCOM approach. http://www.qtpsudhakar.com/2009/07/executing-qtp-scripts-on-remote.html
