QTP/UFT Support Tip: Should I install all the patches/hotfixes of QuickTest Professional?

Hello Everyone,

Maybe you have asked your self the question above, since there are a lot for QTP 11.0 version.

In this case take in consideration there are public and private patches available for QTP. The private ones are offered by HP Support only, and they are intent to resolve specific needs/problems encountered. Hotfix are NOT recommended to install unless HP Customer Support suggest during troubleshooting process.

The only critical patches for QTP 11.0 are listed below:

• QTP_00709 - Updates for HP QTP 11.00: It is a bundle with several fixes for the QTP Core.
• RRV_00019 - Run Results Viewer cumulative patch: use to update the Run Results Viewer v11.0
• QTP_00906 - BPT 11.00 Cumulative patch: This one applies for QC / ALM Integrations and BPTs.
