QTP support tip: The items in QTP menu disappear.

There are some cases where you are not able to see any sub option on QTP menu.


In order to resolve that you can try these solutions:


Solution 1: 

     -Rich click on the blue clean part in the menu spot


     -Then select Customized.

     -The select toolbars tab and choose reset.


     -Try QTP menu.


If issue persist after that try solution 2


Solution 2:

     -Close QTP.

     -On Start menu click on Run.

     -Open the Regedit.

     -Go to this Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mercury Interactive\Quick Test Professional.

     -Made a backup of the Mercury Interactive folder.

     -Delete the entire QuicktestProfessional folder.

     -Launch QTP again and check the menu.


In case issue persist try solution 3


Solution 3:

     -Go to Start > Run.. > Type: %appdata%

     -Go to HP folder, remove the Quicktestprofessional folder.

     -Reopen QTP and check the menu.
