UFT ALM Connection Hang

Hi,

When trying to connect to ALM the connection progress percentage dialog hangs at around 78% for a few mins before it completes. QC test runs are impossible due to this issue and the tests always fail.

I went through the UFT log file and found the below:

I am using UFT 12.02 and do not have this issue with any of our other machines using UFT.

Re: UFT ALM Connection Hang

Can you check the following:

- whether ALM plugin for UFT has been installed

- UAC is turned off and UFT is launched as admin

- Can you close UFT, ALM and delete the C:\Users\XXXXX\AppData\Local\HP folder and try

If you are getting UAC is enabled, unable to launch spider module errors, then it has to do with Admin access to the machine or the machine is virtual/liquid machine with no explicit C: Drive. In that case, UFT will not be able to connect to ALM.
