UFT API Test - Relative Path for Data Source

Jump to solution

Hello,

I was wondering if it is possible to specify a relative location for data source's that are defined within UFT API Tests? Thanks!

Hi Craig,

This hasn't been implemented yet. I found that an Enhancement Request was already created for UFT12.xx.
I'd suggest opening a support case so you can be added as another user interested in this functionality. This will help increase the priority of such request.

Kindly,
Alvaro

Hi Casjs913,

Hope you are doing well.

For data sources context this is not possible to do it as you do using GUI.

File -> Settings -> Folders). If you try the same scenario but with an API test then you will not be given an option to use a relative path and only absolute one.

I found enhancement request QCCR1J65787 to add support for this:

Setting Path of a called API-Action relative:

https://softwaresupport.hpe.com/group/softwaresupport/search-result/-/facetsearch/document/KM00588033

According to the docuement this will be considered for next version, customer may fill the registry to receive automatic notifications.
