UFT Support tip: Mouse stops responding after Unified Functional Testing main UI is opened
We’ve found that this issue happens on environments where .Net Framework 4.5.2 is installed.
The problem is that WPF applications that are virtualized with App-V 5 (including UFT) may start Windows Touch Input Service (wisptis.exe), even when no touch devices are present. This will cause mouse to stop responding.
If you’re affected by this problem, be informed that Microsoft have provided a hotfix in the form of an update rollup for .NET Framework:
If after installing such hotfix, you still face issues (some users have reported having same issue even after installing the hotfix), then you may refer to the below workarounds:
- Revert back to .Net Framework 4.5.1
- Kill all wisptis.exe processes running
