UFT - changing proxy settings

Hi,

we are using UFT 14.53 with autopass license server 10.9. When our network department recently deactivated many proxy rules, we learned the hard way that the UFT client apparently connects automatically to the license server through a proxy. Having a new proxy rule activated for UFT client access to the license server fixed that problem.

During installation we never (knowingly) configured any proxy.Furthermore, on the license server in the file C:\ProgramData\Hewlett-Packard\UFT\License\autopass.txt  every line related to a proxy is commented out using "#".

Is there any way I can change the proxy default settings at the client and/or license server from "automatic" to "none" allowing direct communication between client and license server? What do I need to do?

Cheers,

Re: UFT - changing proxy settings

Hi,

In order to change the proxy settings you have to go to "Internet Explorer"->"Internet Options"->"Connections"->"LAN Settings". You can not perform the process of changing proxy settings directly by UFT so you should follow the steps provide it before.

Best Regards.
