Unable to Run BPT Test scrips remotely in MAC

Jump to solution

When i open a BPT test case in UFT 12.51 and try to run them remotely in a MAC machine with safari browser, it is still running only on the local machine. Is BPT scripts not yet implemented for safari  ??

I figured out finally. Able to run BPT test scripts remotely in safari browser on a mac when triggered from ALM. Unlike a typical GUI test, with BPT it does not provide a provision to mention the browser and port details like how we used to give for GUI tests in Record and Run Settings. Instead, connect the UFT machine remoted to a mac and from QC, point to the machine which is remoted to mac. Then it works just fine. But i wish i could directly provide the IP of the Mac in ALM and execute directly. It would have been more fun. Currently when i try to do that it throws me an error "RPC Server Unavailable". But anyways it works now.

Im also super excited to have UFT 12.51 enabled debugging facililties in safari browser, by providing record and playback in safari and also object spy working with safari.. Its cool

Is your test script stored in the file system, or in HP ALM?

Are you able to run non-BPT test scripts remotely against a Mac?
