Why does QTP not support recording against Chrome which has been out for 5 years now?
Why does QTP, which is the most expensive test automation tool not support recording against Google Chrome, which is the most popular browser? The first release of Chrome came out 5 years ago. Surly 5 years is enough time to implement recording for Chrome.

Re: Why does QTP not support recording against Chrome which has been out for 5 years now?
Nice question. I guess QTP was originally designed for IE and HP contiued the tradition when they took over from Mercury.
Since Chrome has already gone past Firefox in usage and fast catching up with IE, I don't think any automation tool provider can ignore Chrome. Sooner than later we should see a full fledged support for Chrome.
It would be interesting to see what the folks @HP have to say on it.
Please make sure to "Kudos" on the left and mark the thread as resolved if this has answered your query.

Just FYI, this is a view of our traffic based on customers' browsers. You will note that Chrome is *THE* most popular.
