Flaky tests in UFT

I use UFT to test a JavaFX desktop application, so recorded visual items with built-in recorder. UFT is unable to find these objects during execution in some cases. Sometimes it works properly, but sometimes test fails.

This could be related to changing IDs, window titles or any other changing attributes. You can open the objects in the object repository and press the hightlight button in the toolbar while your applicaiton under test is open with the GUI object visible. If UFT find the object it is blinking for some seconds. If it does not find the object you can use the object spy to see the objects properties. Compare these properties with the ones used by your test in the object repository. Are there any differences? If there is an attribute such as a dynamic ID that changes regulary you can use other attributes instead.

Sometimes UFT also might be clicking too fast and the GUI object is not ready yet. Then you will need to add some extra synchronization in your test like waiting for a specific text to appear or any other indicator that show that the application is now ready to accept further inputs, see e.g. the "Synchronization point" icon in the recording toolbar.

It takes relatively long time to find an object. Object is the same, but sometimes it is recognized and sometimes it isn't recognized by UFT. Object path looks like this: *:*:JavaFX6:JavaFX12:JavaFX61:JavaFX75 and there is a name for each. I use version: 14.2.3792.0 on Windows 8.1.

I'm having similar issue, looks like the agent is crashing and therefore not able to recognize the javaFx objects anymore. The only solution is to close the application under test and reopen to connect it with the agent. Any solution for that? This is causing big issue for us.
