Getting Firefox install path using HP.LFT.SDK.Web.BrowserType.Firefox

Currently using C# and LeanFT for automation. I'm using BrowserFactory.Launch(HP.LFT.SDK.Web.BrowserType.Firefox) to launch Firefox but getting an "ENOENT" exception because it's not being found at the path being returned.

Firefox is installed in the usual location "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox" but the one being returned is "C:\Users\wagnj1\AppData\Local\Mozilla" which is essentially empty other than profile settings.

Anyone have any idea how "HP.LFT.SDK.Web.BrowserType.Firefox" gets the Firefox path? or why it might be returning an old path? I've done multiple searches through the registry for "AppData\Local\Mozilla" and slight variations but nothing is coming back.

Re: Getting Firefox install path using HP.LFT.SDK.Web.BrowserType.Firefox

Hello,

Could you please provide the leanft.runtime log file?

Here are the instructions:

  1. Copy the <LEANFT_INSTALL_DIR>\dat\LogConfigurations folder to %localappdata%\LeanFT.
  2. Edit the file: %localappdata%\LeanFT\LogConfigurations\leanft.runtime.log.config.json -> change the levels->[all] from "info" to "trace".
  3. make sure LeanFT is down.
  4. delete the %localappdata%\LeanFT\Logs\leanft.runtime.log file (to have a clean log).
  5. Start LeanFT and reproduce the issue.
  6. Attach here the %localappdata%\LeanFT\Logs\leanft.runtime.log file

Please also make sure the you have performed the instructions on this page: https://admhelp.microfocus.com/leanft/en/14.51/HelpCenter/Content/HowTo/WebApps.htm#mt-item-1

Under "Set up Mozilla Firefox for LeanFT".

Regards,

Anton

Re: Getting Firefox install path using HP.LFT.SDK.Web.BrowserType.Firefox

re: LeanFT install directory: I did a search of my C: for a folder called "LogConfigurations" and there's no results. Same thing when I search for "leanft.runtime.log.config.json" on my C:.

I have a folder @ "C:\Users\wagnj1\AppData\Local\Hewlett-Packard\LeanFT"  which has a "Logs" and "Preferences" subdirectory. Is this the folder you're talking about?

And yes my Firefox install is all set up as per those instructions.
