QTP/UFT Support Tip: How to modify (add/remove) the add-ins for a BPT component?

Hello everyone,

The list of loaded add-ins for a BPT component is linked to the corresponding Application Area. So, how can the user modify (add/remove) the add-ins for such Application Area?

In order to modify (add/remove) the selected add-ins for a BPT component, it is necessary to modify the associated Application Area as follows:

1. Open the desired Application Area in QTP/UFT (File > Open > Application Area).

2. Go to the 'General' tab in the Application Area (left side pane).

3. The list of add-ins will be displayed at the bottom. You can select “Modify” to modify the add-ins in use (to add an additional add-in it is necessary to re-launch QTP and check all required add-ins at the add-in manager).

I hope this helps anyone out there.

Thanks,

Braulio
