Centralized probe setting management

Idea ID 2830466

Centralized probe setting management

When you have a lot of probes it’s very time consuming and fault-prone when you have to roll-out specific probe settings to all your probes.

So it should be possible to:

  • change probe configuration on all probes or only on selected probes
  • show the setting of all probes and
  • compare setting (so all probes are configured identical)

All these features should be done in CMS UI (maybe part of the Probe Dashboard).

These settings shouldn’t be about the connection (e.g. server name or jettyHttpsEnable) it’s more about the different timeout- and job settings. E.g. appilog-settings (appilog.agent.local.services.poolThreads, appilog.agent.local.services.defaultMaxJobThreads, appilog.agent.local.max.worker.runtime and appilog.agent.local.max.worker.stuck).

Thanks a lot!!

This is an great idea because checking all the settings after an upgrade or so is very time consuming
