Jump to solution

We have one uCMDB application talking to one uCMDB Oracle Database. Can two uCMDB server communicate with one database at a time?

We have uCMDB 8.06 CP8

Not sure what exactly you mean by "Oracle Database" here. Database instance? Database schemas? Schemas cannot be shared between different UCMDB servers. Every UCMDB server must run with its own set of schemas (Foundation, UCMDB, UCMDB History). Nothing prevents you though from creating 2 sets of schemas for 2 different UCMDB servers on the same Oracle instance.

I was curious about 2 uCMDB servers being able to share the same schemas . From your response it looks like that is not a possibility.

Thanks for your response.
