How do I create either a list of acceptable locations or a drop down that lists locations to choose from when entering a calendar item.
That would be something you'd accomplish by removing the original location filed and adding back a selection list in the calendar form entry definition and update the calendar view accordingly.
I'd start by coping the existing definition within the forums and views in the Vibe site administration, change that to your liking and either apply that form to the folders where it would be needed. Changing the original one eventually is also possible, though that would mean current location entries would not be visible anymore.
