Standard Reporting for collected informations

we are using Vibe for Team and Project Collaboration.
A lot of ideas raised for enhancing internal workflows within vibe.
But I am missing in the moment a good way to analyze the collected data.
E.G We try to collect data standardized from different customers.
As we are assuming a lot of data, the need of analyzing the data with standard reports
and maybe select different fields to query the data set.

I do not see this functionality within the Vibe Environment. Of course we can think of querying
directly via SQL the data. But I hope that this is also possible to do it in a smarter way directly
in the system.

Re: Standard Reporting for collected informations

Hi Thorsten,
unfortunately there is no out-of-the-box way to analyze date in Vibe, be it on entry-level or on folder-level.
For simpler overviews and summaries you could use predefined searches or filters which are applied to folders. Just define filters on your folder listing (e.g. show only the entries where contract-date=2011 etc...), additionally you can sort the results by clicking the field names in the header bar of the folder listing. That's a great feature.
If you really want to analyze data, sum up data, or even represent data graphically you would have to query the SQL DB with the tool of your choice or code some custom JSPs. That's not too difficult.
(Coding a custom folder view is an upgrade safe way to extend your Vibe system if you do it correctly! So that's cool.)
