Vibe 3.4 Auditing

We are running Vibe 3.4 on SLES 11 with an Oracle database. We are trying to determine if there is a way to generate a report (query the database) that would show us access permissions set for workspaces, folders and files. Our vibe setup contains some sensitive information and we want to periodically check and make sure users didn't inadvertently share something they did not intend to.

Thank you,
Tom

Re: Vibe 3.4 Auditing

Hi Tom,

yes, it's possible, the database structure is not so complicated.
Let me know if you need more info.

Re: Vibe 3.4 Auditing

I was able to piece together sql scripts to check for workspaces that have inheriting rights enabled (a big problem for us) and also one to look at the change logs and check for any rights changes for a period of time. One thing I could not figure out is if there is a way to see what workspaces/folders/files are accessible by all users (basically open to all users of vibe). Any ideas how to do that?

Thank you,
Tom

Re: Vibe 3.4 Auditing

The information you can find in tables: SS_WorkareaFunctionMemberships and SS_WorkAreaFunctionMembers.
SS_WorkareaFunctionMemberships.workAreaId - it's workspace/folder/... id
SS_WorkareaFunctionMemberships.functionId == SS_Functions.id - the role id
SS_WorkareaFunctionMemberships.id = SS_WorkAreaFunctionMembers.workAreaFunctionMembershipId
SS_WorkAreaFunctionMembers.memberId - group id or user id (-1 is an owner, -2 is a team)
The id of 'all user' group you can find in table SS_Principals. You can find there also id of guest user.

I hope it helps you.

Pawel
