Vibe iOS app support?

Not sure where to go to get support for the Vibe app in the Apple App store.
It looked really promising, but will not work if Access Manager is in the way.
The app has been updated to allegedly support Access Manager, but no luck 😞
Has anyone got it working?

Same happens with the Android Vibe App - it cannot login if there's NAM in the way. However, once the app is installed, you just access your Vibe URL through the phone's web browser and voila - once you login, the Vibe app just pops up. Don't know if it works like this for iOS.

If you have the latest version of the app (1.0.1 on Android, presumably
same version number on iOS) it should work with NAM. Put it this way:
with our corporate Novell installing of Vibe we have to go through NAM,
and the original version of the app had an issue but the new release of
the app works.

Using the phones web browser does not use the Vibe App on the phone it just uses the template from the Vibe server.
You can remove the app and the phone browser will still work.

Using the iOS app, V1.02. Create the site and start it - it just sits there at a blank screen spinning.
It doesn't even seem to try to communicate.
Once it does that, you have a <5% chance of being able to reconfigure. You have to remove the app and reinstall to get back to reconfigure screen, so not much error handling going on 🙂

Re: Vibe iOS app support?

Try this on NAM side:

In Section "Configuring the Domain-Based Proxy Service" (Novell Doc: Novell Access Manager 3.1 SP4 Access Gateway Guide - Configuring Protected Resources for Specific Applications), in Step 2, the "Host Header" option should read, "Select Forward received host name." Remove "Web Server Host Name" (this option will now be grayed out in the UI).

In Section, "Configuring Protected Resources" (Novell Doc: Novell Access Manager 3.1 SP4 Access Gateway Guide - Configuring Protected Resources for Specific Applications), undo Step 2d. (This step begins with, "In the URL Path List, remove...")

-In the same section as above (Section, "Configuring Protected Resources"), in Step 3e, select the following option: "Redirect to Identity Server When No Authentication Header is Provided:"

-In the same section as above (Section, "Configuring Protected Resources"), in Step 3h remove "/ssf/a/do?" and add the following:
/ssf/atom/*
/ssf/ical/*
/ssf/ws/*
/ssr/*

Let me know if this works!

Re: Vibe iOS app support?

One more thing to try. Add this to the protected resources:
/ssf/a/c/p_name/ss_mobile/*

I've seen this fix it.

Thanks ksiddiqui. This prescription worked for me. Vibe mobile apps, add-in and desktop now work through NAM.
