iCal sync says "Processed Zero Events"

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to sync a Vibe calendar to the company that hosts our calendar, Connect Daily. If I down the ical file and save it, when I try to import it into the vibe calendar it opens the file, sits for a while like it is processing it, but then it says it processed zero events. This same ical file imports into Groupwise just fine.

Also, in GoupWise if I subscribe to the Connect Daily calendar, it works just fine. When I paste the URL into vibe, I get the same results. It thinks for while and processes zero events.

Since the URL is publicly published, I can share it here:
http://fvlhs.mhsoftware.com/iCal/calendar_id/19.ics

Any ideas of what is happening?

Thanks for any help.

Seems like that ical is not valid, it has issues:

Error: Error was: Error at line 23815: Illegal character in path at index 87: http://www.highschoolsports.net/team/Fox-Valley-Lutheran-HS-Appleton-WI/Baseball/Junior Varsity/Boys/

Re: iCal sync says "Processed Zero Events"

Thanks for the help. I'll have to look at why that fails the validator.

I tried it with a smaller calendar instead of the entire thing. This calendar:

http://fvlhs.mhsoftware.com/iCal/item_type_id/16.ics

passes the validator but still says "Processed Zero Events". But it gives that error immediately without doing any processing. It fails both the download and URL import.

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Re: iCal sync says "Processed Zero Events"

And to verify it, I sent that link to a friend who imported it into his vibe calendar with no problem. 871 events went right in. I can also import that file into GW with no problems.

We are running the same version of Vibe. How can I troubleshoot this problem? Are there log files I can check?

Thanks!

Do you have rights to add entries to this specific calendar?

Re: iCal sync says "Processed Zero Events"

I just installed HP3 to my vibe 3.2 install, with no change.

Does someone know if there are any log files or other troubleshooting ideas for this problem?

Thanks!

Re: iCal sync says "Processed Zero Events"

Thomas,

Yes, I was logged in as admin so I should have had rights.

I did get it fixed last night. I deleted the calendar event from my landing page, then I deleted the calendar folder. I re-created the calendar folder, put it back onto my landing page and everything worked.

I'm guessing it was something with permissions since this is one of the sample workspaces that I downloaded from Novell.

Thanks for you help!

Matt
