I can see from the stack trace that the NPE is being invoked when a selection event is triggered in the variable inspection code while debugging.  What I can't tell is why or how you managed to get this to happen.

What program are you debugging?  Does it happen with all programs or just one?  Are you able to continue without further problems or does it stop whatever you are trying to do?

How about the data item that is being inspected - does it likely contain Spanish characters?  Just wondering from the NL=es_CL starting parameter to Eclipse.  

Are you able to reproduce with a cut down program/example?  If so, then it's probably worth creating a support incident and working with CustomerCare to work towards a solution.

This problem appears when I starting the visual Cobol project. Before the system send the following message .
