Oracle Pro*COBOL source program compiled with Visual Cobol Eclipse

Jump to solution

Thanks in advance.

I am testing Visual Cobol for Eclipse editing an Oracle Pro*COBOL named “Program1.cbl”. At the end of the linker step the Program1.exe is not generated due to a fatal error LNK1120 for 3 unresolved externals symbols: ORASQL8, SQLADR and SQLBEX. The following is the log of the process generated at CMD DOS.

C:\cobol>cobol Program1.cs9 /LITLINK /MAKESYN"COMP-5"="COMP";

Not sure of the specific library, but this is a result of not including the required Oracle .lib files.

Thanks very much Steve. Now is working fine. I changed the "Platform Target" from 32-bit to 64-bit this last corresponds to my "oracle database 12c-64 bits". To configure default 32-bit platform target result of not including the required Oracle .lib files such as you mentioned.
