My Microsoft Office froze up this morning, and I tried a cure that involved disabling all services except Microsoft and then restarting the computer. It fixed my Office problem, but I fear it clobbered my Micro Focus COBOL. (I've got Windows 10 pro).
When I tried to start COBOL, I got "The Micro Focus CES daemon is not running." But when I looked at my Programs and Features, I found four Micro Focus entries, but nothing about a CES daemon.
See screenshots in the attached "Article.docx".
Your help will be greatly appreciated

You want to be looking at you services, not Programs and Features. You should find a service "Micro Focus CES daemon" which I'm guessing is not running. Start it and try again. That should resolve the issue

Thanks! That did the trick.
