[Migrated content. Thread originally posted on 09 March 2012]

I was told by our marketing rep that R4 would have a tool for converting Dialog screens to either Winform or WPF equivalents in Visual COBOL. Can you tell me how to access this tool? Thanks!

The Visual COBOL R4 Update 2 release supports a Dialog System Addpack for the Visual COBOL for Visual Studio product.

The Addpack can be downloaded from the Supportline Product Updates site.

Although there is not an automated converter to go from Dialog System to Windows Forms or WPF, it does provide you with the capability to both run your Dialog System applications under Visual COBOL and to modernize them using Windows Forms and WPF controls and Windows.

Please see the documentation at:

Visual COBOL R4 Dialog System Addpack documentation.

Thanks.
