Context in Client Username causes login to fail in ZCM Agent

We are having a wierd issue with our users logging in.

They enter their username into the novell login window (ie testuser.staff) the context in the Novell client is o=rootcontext. This successfully authenticates. Next a Zenworks window opens up and does not let you authenticate with testuser.staff but if you remove .staff from the username then it logs you in.

Trying to figure out what is going on. This behavior did not occurr with ZCM11. Just wondering what the cause could be?

Our environment
workstation
Win 7 SP1 64bit
ZCM agent 11.1
Novell Client 2 SP1 IR8

Servers
Win2008R2SP1 primary with ZCM11.1
ZCM Appliance primary with ZCM11.1

Re: Context in Client Username causes login to fail in ZCM Agent

There is a setting regarding "Allow Dots in User Name" in Client 2.
Try toggling this setting to see if it helps.

When this is ON, it assumes the name is Literally "Testuser.Staff" and
not TestUser who is in the Staff Container.

Re: Context in Client Username causes login to fail in ZCM A

I have toggled that setting and still no luck. Any other suggestions?

Re: Context in Client Username causes login to fail in ZCM Agent

This does not work in ZCM as users need to be unique and cannot have a
context. This is an irritating limitation and I did enter an
enhancement request a year ago, it has been entered as a valid request,
but to give it some priority, we need more customers asking for it.
