Hi Wyld,

ZIS info is not written into the MBR but rather in the first freely available begin sectors of the hard drive. There has been a change starting ZDM 7 SP1 (ZIS not always being written to sector 6), which you can read more about here: Cannot write ZISD (ZENworks Image Safe Data)

You can disable ZISWIN from running, and that should also stop the agent writing info to disk. Have not needed to do this myself, so not 100% sure about that. You can find more info on the switches here : ZISWIN switches and functionality , ZISWIN Disabled being the one of interest.

I am wondering what workstation registration issue you mean. ZCM should be able to work with 3d party imaging.

Which (SP) version of ZCM is the customer running, and what is the issue? Maybe there is another way to deal with it.

Cheers,
Willem
