Dual NIC's on server worth it?

I have a brand new server coming in the next week. This will have dual gig ethernet cards. Is it worth using both network cards if they're both going to be on the same subnet and range?

I've noticed that many of the newer NIC's have teaming to increase throughput but I don't believe the server NIC's have this. Basically I want to ensure I'm getting the most bandwidth to and from my server as possible.
