Export Private Key

I was wondering if there was a way to export the private key used in the default SSL certificate. Backing up the certificates is easy, but I'd like to see if we can accelerate the ZCM traffic and to do this the private cert is required. ZCM 11.2 + SLES 11 Sp1.

Not sure if this is the best subforum to ask, but it seemed closest!

Re: Export Private Key

What accelerator are you using? Anyway, have a peek in:
/etc/opt/novell/zenworks/security

Re: Export Private Key

Anders,

Thanks, I raised an SR and they pointed me to that directory:

/etc/opt/novell/zenworks/security/

The trick was that we needed to load the ca.cert into the Riverbeds CA Store, because it verifies the certificates before allowing optimisiation. Loaded up the CA, added the server private/public keys and everything started working.

Certs needed:

/etc/opt/novell/zenworks/security/ca.cert <- load into Riverbed CA store
/etc/opt/novell/zenworks/security/server.key <- Private key

We exported the public key using firefox, but it's probably also in the directory above.

Re: Export Private Key

Yes, it's optimising traffic correctly. Previously it would show N/A next to the connections. How much it's helping, we'll know after some time to collect stats.

Re: Export Private Key

No worries, hopefully someone else gets some use out of this thread.

If we collect any decent stats, I'll post my results.
