Failed to delete network printer
Workstation:
iprint client v. 05.12.00
Windows XP SP3 fully updated
Servers:
ZCM SP2 (10.2.1)
SLES 10 SP2
OES2 SP1B
We are running tests on OES2 with ZCM to see how well it works in our system. The current issue is with our iPrint policy. We set up the printer, driver, etc on the OES2 server, then use an iprint policy in ZCM to download the printer driver to the workstation.
The printer gets downloaded and works fine. However, ZCM throws some errors. It thinks it has failed, so it keeps retrying to install the printer. Over and over and over again.
The Adaptive Agent error message says, "The policy iPrint could not be applied successfully."
Both the Windows Event Log as well as the zmd-messages.log file give this message:
POLICYHANDLERS.PrinterPolicy.NetworkPrinterDeleteFailure: Failed to delete network printer \\treename\printername.
Any ideas on where to look to resolve this issue? The only workaround we know of is to disable the iprint policy as soon as it installs the appropriate printers, to keep it from trying to run over and over again.

Re: Failed to delete network printer
We installed SLES10 SP3 and OES2 SP2, public beta patches. That seemed to fix the problem.
