Icons Not Working

When I assign a bundle, I sometimes get the following error when the workstations attempt to show the bundle in the application window.
The
error below is from a Microsoft Access 2003 bundle (using the icon
from
MSACCESS.exe)

-----
ede253334905752d03972867395ebebf{0;BUNDLE.CouldNotParseBitmap;System.ArgumentException:

Parameter is not valid. at System.Drawing.Bitmap..ctor(Stream stream)
at
Novell.Zenworks.AppModule.AppActionItem.OverLayAndGrayBytes(Byte[]
iconbytes)}
-----

Any suggestions? I get this on Access, Publisher, and GroupWise so
far.

Pat.

What OS are you running ZCC from?

I am running ZCM on both SLES10 SP1 and Windows 2003. The workstation

is connected to the SLES server.

Same zone? Which server is primary of the zone?

Same zone. The SLES is the primary.

I am fairly sure you are having the same issue as others. That is
custom
icons are not working when SLES is the primary ZCM server.

I am trying to find a resolution for this. For the moment, do not use

custom icons. This does work if Windows is the primary server.

I have reinstalled ZCM with the Windows server as the primary (SLES
under that). The GroupWise icon still does not work properly. I
guess
I will wait until the patch before rolling out ZCM to the company.

I haven't tested that exact setup, but the icons haven't been a issue
when
running Windows as the server.

I created a new zone on a Windows server and attached a workstation to

that zone. The same icons failed to load.

I have figure out what is happening with these icons. For some
reason,
it is picking an icon out of the file that it cannot display. If I
pull
out the icons and remove anything over 256 colors (leaving 16x16 and 32x32), it works fine.

I have tested this on both a SLES and Windows primary server and it
works perfectly. It takes a little extra time to do, but at least the

icons will show up. BTW - I used Easy Icon Maker to alter the icon
files.

I thought that requirement was removed, but will check.

James Moots,

The server is on Windows?
Are you using Vista?
If XP, is the user a member of the administrators group?

You are using the released version of ZCM and not a beta?

Re: Icons Not Working

Patrick A. Hasenjager,

The issue has been documented, but there isn't a fix yet.
