Launching URL and logging the user in with generic account

Jump to solution

Hello all,

We are looking to launch a URL and auto-login the user with a generic account so that they do not have to do this themselves (as they will not have access to the username and password).

Is this possible through ZENworks at all?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks, Daniel.

Yes, you can do this with ZENworks.....

However, ZENworks just delivers whatever solution you want.

#1 - It may simply be a URL with the UID and Password Embedded if your Website Supports that.

However, most browsers and sites no longer support this for security reasons.

#2 - It may be a simple scripting solution such as this PowerShell Script.....

Hello,

@CRAIGDWILSON  is correct here.  The main thing to understand is to try an accomplish what you want outside of ZEN of first.  Master the nuances via command line, power shell, a script or potentially another app that does this for you.  The, wrap it all in all of that ZEN goodness and fire away!
