Login Issue after upgrading zo 11.1 on Win7SP1 WS
Did an update from 10.3.3 to 11.1.
Primary Server (SLES11.1), Sattelite Server (2008R2) went well.
XP Workstation Upate (Novell Client installed) also without any probs.
Updated the first Win7Pro 64Bit WS with Novell Client 2SP1 (IR8):
Installation finishes without problems.
After reboot I enter the login credentials for Novell Client, this was succesful.
BUT:
Then the ZCM Login Screen appears:
"Unable to log into the network because the login
credentials or the server certificate is incorrect."
I can cancel this - but this causes me not logged into ZCM.
Tried to zac unreg, zac reg without any results.
Tried to manually reinstall Casa.msi and authtokenclient.msi (helps when updating 10.3.2 to 10.3.3 earlier this year...) - no luck.
UAC is disabled. And yes it is Win7 Pro 64 Bit with SP1.
ZCM Agent is working so far as I can see, the device bundles are all there, but I can't login so the user bundles, policies do not work.
Any help?

Hello,
we have exactly the same problem and situation.
All WS with ZCM11.0 Agent are running well.
I recreated the agent and reinstalled, no differences.
Actually we are searching for a solution.

Glad I am not alone. 🙂
Additional: WS with ZCM10.3.3 are running fine here.

Does a Fresh Agent install work?
If not.......
Can u verify the OSTargets.XML looks good.
I know it would be odd for it to be bad, but since XP works......

I managed to get rid of it by using TID:
http://www.novell.com/support/php/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=7008974&sliceId=1&docTypeID=DT_TID_1_1&dialogID=257412690&stateId=0%200%20257414576
Doesnt really fit the topic but helped me out.

Craig!
I completely uninstalled ZCM Agent incl. Casa and Preagent. New install runs fine, but after reboot, result is the same. 😞
What do you mean with OSTargets.xml? Where to find the file?

Similar issue (copied from above) with a little more detail on the problems...
- Did an update from 10.3.3 to 11.1.
- Primary Server (SLES11.1) (x2)
- Updated Win7Pro 64Bit WS with Novell Client 2SP1 (IR8):
- System Update to update workstation. No problems with the install itself.
- After reboot I enter the login credentials for Novell Client, this was
succesful.
- Then the ZCM Login Screen appears:
-"Unable to log into the network because the login credentials or the server certificate is incorrect."
If we remove the ZCM agent (full removal including casa), reboot and then re-install we get a situation where the Zenworks Adaptive Agent icon that is supposed to be on the desktop is not there. This would be OK, except that there is still functionality not working. Icons pushed down to the desktop, system tray and so on no longer work either. Even worse, the ZCM agent would randomly crash. All in all, it seems to be that the uninstall of ZCM 10.3.3 does not uninstall everything properly and the manual ZCM 11.1 agent doesn't fix it properly.
In finding this thread and links... followed TID 7008974 and repaired the 2 MSIs listed on machines that were updated via the System Update process. This resolved all the known issues and as of yet has not introduced the random crashing issue.
Looking forward to seeing what the root cause of the problem is as well in the 10.3.3 to 11.1 issue. I have also upgraded a 11.0 system to 11.1 and have not had any agent issues whatsoever.

Just did my first Win7SP1 64 bit client upgrade from 10.3.1 to 11.1 and also
ran into this problem. Followed TID 7008974 to repair the CASA and was able
to login to 11.1. Seems something is definitely wrong in the client upgrade
process with CASA. I will do a few more here and see what happens.

Hmhmm, interesting, indeed.
Wondering why de-/reinstalling from Casa and authtokenclient.msi did it for others but not for me.
German language maybe?
