Looking for a solution to folder redirection with Win7

Good Morning,

I am working with a customer who is migrating to Windows 7. Below is a 10,000 ft. overview of where we are trying to go and the layout of the current environment that we are moving into.

ZENworks 11.3
Microsoft Active Directory 2008R2
Novell eDirectory (File and Print) on SLES
ENGL Imaging Toolkit 8.02
Windows 7 Professional 32Bit

Customer is moving from Windows XP to Windows 7. We have developed a Universal Image with ENGL Imaging Toolkit, the new Win7 image is joining AD and we are pushing GPO from AD. What we are trying to accomplish right now, is to redirect users Documents and Favorites to an NSS share, the problem we are running into are:

  1. Windows 7 and it's libraries for indexing purposes, we are unable to redirect the Documents and Favorites to an NSS share.
  2. When we try doing so using an AD GPO and the Folder Redirection Policy, that is applied prior to the login script and the availability of the user drive on the NSS volume.

Has anyone been able to get around this problem? If you can share your solutions or workarounds with me. We have been reading posts which have not given us a solution that works.

You can download a custom ADM file to redirect folder from Zenworks, that tools works for both XP and Windows 7.

Why not using a zenworks bundle to copy favorites and documents into a network share and another bundle to copy the backed up file in the new user profile with a condition to only copy if not exist?
