New install but ZCC will not start, How do I find the cause

I have installed ZCM 10.3 on Windows Server 2008 R2 and the Database is installed on a seperate computer running Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2.

Going to http://zcm1as2.eaglepnt.k12.or.us/zenworks, ZCC will not load.
I get the same results going to http://10.39.0.15/zenworks

Using http://zcm1as2.eaglepnt.k12.or.us/zenworks-coreadmin I am able to successfully invoke operations such as "GetZoneName()" or "GetServerUID()"

Any assistance is appreciated.

Re: New install but ZCC will not start, How do I find the ca

The Refresh System Settings error is normal, and shouldn't be affecting the functionality of the ZCC. Can you get to the ZCC from the server's browser? RDC into your server, then launch a web browser. You should be able to get to it just by entering the loopback address into the browser: 127.0.0.1

Re: New install but ZCC will not start, How do I find the ca

Patrick,
I appreciate your response, here is what I get from the following URLs;

http://127.0.01/zenworks "Interent Explorer cannot display the webpage"
https://127.0.01/zenworks "Interent Explorer cannot display the webpage"
http://127.0.0.1/zenworks-coreadmin/ "Web Service Deployed at" with links to functions that work.

Since my first post I have
Uninstalled ZCM 10.3 downloaded 10.3 and burned a new DVD, the installation yielded the same results.
Uninstalled ZCM 10.3 and installed 10.2 the installation yielded the same results.
Wiped the hard drives, and reinstalled Server 2008, then reinstalled ZCM 10.3 but used the OEM Sybase instead of MS SQL, I got the same results
Uninstalled ZCM 10.3 and installed ZCM 10.3 choosing the embedded database and I got the same results.

Any errors during the installation?
Are the services started?

What about just going to the server's hostname? HTTP://servername - no "/zenworks"

Also, have you verified that your firewall is turned off?

Re: New install but ZCC will not start, How do I find the ca

The problem turns our to be something with my External Certificates, I uninstalled/reinstalled ZCM using Internal Certificates and ZCC runs. Re-issued new certificates from AD CA and uninstalled/reinstalled ZCM I still have the same issue so there is something wrong with the way I am issuing the certificates.

Re: New install but ZCC will not start, How do I find the ca

Everything worked fine when I issued the certificates from eDirectory, but we are in the process of changing everything over to AD & I cannot seem to get the Microsoft Certificate of Authority to accept the request generated from OpenSSL without errors.

Is there a particular reason you are not using an Internal CA?
Most folks just use that since it's so simple.

The one and only thing to remember, is to actually remember to run the
backup commands.

If its still in use 10 years later, you will need to re-issue a cert,
but I would worry about the details of that then 😆
