Problem with bundle installation after upgrade to cumulative patch 2

Hello NG

On my windows 7 64bit client i have following serious problem. I installed
the cumulative patch2. Since then ZCM-Agent doesn't run installation of
bundles

I created the bundles with following settings

In the bundle folder there are different bundles that are assignet to an
installer user but not launched. Then i created a bundle group, associated
the bundles there and i defined here the installeruser to run the bundles on
"Event" Login.

Unfortunatelly this event doesn't trigger. With the earlier version of
ZCM-Agent it was running well.

Somebody can help me to solve this issue?

Ramon

Hi Ramon,

So just to understand you added the bundles to a bundle group and then assigned the bundle group to a user with a distribution schedule on event "logon"?

As you wrote that you have created the bundles I assume that the bundles that are not installing as planed have not already been assigned with an earlier version of the agent?

So if this is the case have you checked the option "Install Immediately after Distribution" when setting the distribution schedule?

Re: Problem with bundle installation after upgrade to cumulative patch 2

Hello Calimero

Correct. I added the bundles to a bundle group, then assigned a specific
user to launch the installation (msi, exe, etc) at event "logon"
On earlier versions of ZCM-Agent this was workin well and without the need
to distribute the bundles.

Why have I to use the distribution schedule?

Re: Problem with bundle installation after upgrade to cumula

Hi Ramon,

I guess it gives you more felxibililty letting you define exactly what you want to do. If you only want to install the bundle when the user performs the login, the the distribution schedule with the option "Install Immediately after Distribution" is your choice. For most of my bundles it did this and it worked like charm.

the fact is, that with cumulative patch 2 the launching of application on
even "login" doesn't more work!!!

Re: Problem with bundle installation after upgrade to cumula

Hi Ramon,

I have tested with a few published bundles and it worked for me. Are your bundles sandboxed or published versions. Do you see anything in the logs?
