Recommended Config for SLES 12 SP3 Install for Zenworks 2017

Anybody have a "tried and true" recommendation for setting up a SLES 12 SP3 server, in terms of partitions, for use with Zenworks 2017? I did a SLES 12 install to a new server using HP's "Intelligent Provisioning" and I don't like how it set things up - 40GB root with all these little subvolulmes and the largest oneis /home, which uses most of the drive space  (not where I need it to be). I read that I needed to pay attention to having a decent size for the /var/opt directory. What are people using now?

Thanks in advance!

GW 2018 & Mobility Service-Version: 18.1.0 Build: 410 on SLES 12SP3, GW Client 18.02 (Build 131493) on Windows 7 64bit; server OES 11 on SLES 11 SP3; eDirectory 9.1 on SLES12SP3 and eDirectory 8.8sp8 on SLES11 SP3

During the installation of SLES12 you can choose not to split
/home into it's own partition - click Edit Proposal
Settings.

Thanks, Simon! I did not know that. I'll give it a shot. I saw that option, just wasn't clear that's what I could do with it.

Kind regards,

Val

Re: Recommended Config for SLES 12 SP3 Install for Zenworks

Hi Simon,

I take a chance to ask you a question :

I would like to migrate my SLES 11.4 + Zenworks 2017 Update2 (soon Update 3) to a Appliance Zenworks 2017. I could not find any where a step-by-step how to do it.

Any suggestion ?
