Reset SQLite status for user when user profile recreated?

In ZCM 6.5 and prior app status for user associated apps were stored in HKCU. So if the users local profile was nuked, then ZCM would come along and run everything that was user associated for that user again.

ZCM 10 store this in SQLite dB. If we delete the users local profile, ZCM continues to think those HKCU changes and such have already been ran. This has caused us problems with Palm Desktop HKCU settings we push once per user.

Incrementing the version of each of my hundreds of bundles is a possible answer, but that's time consuming to do daily.

Is there a way to reset the HKCU state in ZCM from a command line or by removing the SQL database perhaps?

No, Try http://support.novell.com/enhancement

I've never head it mentioned before, but sounds reasonable.

Yes, and not only for user associated applications, also if the HKCU part of
a WS associated application was distributed or not.
Having your profile deleted and then automatically getting the settings
again (without any administrator effort) is part of the ZenWorks 4, 6.5 and
7 "self healing" feature.

This sounds like a terrible flaw in design. Profiles are often
corrupt/lost/deleted, particularly if they are roaming.
The only work around AFAICS would be to always set all HKCU settings to
ZCM's equivalent of "distribute always".
I don't have ZCM10, but try to follow these forums to see how it works...

Re: Reset SQLite status for user when user profile recreated

The only thing I can think of is sticking these things in LAUNCH actions and never using INSTALL actions for HKCU related items. Do not use RUN ONCE, set it to launch repeatedly. Then create a system requirement so that when it has ran, you don't continue to run what ever it is.

The problem with this is I have thousands of HKCU registry settings I've migrated from 6.5. Including delete options, and features a .reg file doesn't support. These are INSTALL actions since that's what the migration tool does.. There is no option in ZCM to export them so I can move them to LAUNCH actions. So I guess I just have to live with it.

It's sad that they skipped this part of the "self healing" feature, but good
to know that there are work arounds.
I'll guess the migration tool is not the first choice, it's probably better
to re-create all applications from scratch, also because there are many new
features in ZCM10.
