The Local Group Policy settings cannot be edited because the

Folks, I'm getting this message when I try & manage/change a MIGRATED policy.
The policy is a Windows Group Policy, that was migrated from C1, ZEN 6.5 & has been managed via Windows XP SP-2 workstation.

However, it's possible that the policy was ORIGNALLY created via Windows XP SP-1.
Would that cause the message?
tell me it's not so!

Rgouette,

ah, I see, maybe we need some logs here, because I don't know the answer, but some troubleshooting won't hurt - Debug logs in ZCM

Re: The Local Group Policy settings cannot be edited because

oh, and BTW I configured a new Policy, and saved it.
Worked, as far as creating a new policy.

I closed it: then simply tried to re-edit it, and was presented with:
I waited a few minutes..& continue to get this same message:

"An error occurred while extracting the group policy content. The content has not been processed or the zenloader service is not running."

Re: The Local Group Policy settings cannot be edited because

whoa..
so lemme recap so I have a clear understanding of this issue.

If I migrate/create policies,, I would have to have them 100% the first time, or recreate altogether?

Thanks,

Rgouette,

Re: The Local Group Policy settings cannot be edited because the

Rgouette,

if you forget, just before you upload the GPO, it tells you where the
zip file is that has the file - go take a copy before you click the OK
button... 😉
