Unable to image on vmware-server

Hi,
I'm trying out ZCM and OES2 virtually on my OpenSUSE 10.3 laptop, work great by the way 🙂
My problem is that when I PXE-boot and select Zenworks Imageing Maintenance the system starts loading and after a while I get an error something like: "udevd-event[3003]: wait for sysfs?

Any clues?

Re: Unable to image on vmware-server

Same problem here, the PC being imaged is a guest on Vmware server 1.04
on opensuse10.2

Booting on the imaging boot iso doesn't make any difference.

Screenshot attached.

Kindest regards,

Dennis

Re: Unable to image on vmware-server

A small follow-up:

after waiting (a couple of hours), I get to the prompt of the imaging
linux

Here, unforunaltely, running img only results in a segmantation fault.

Hints, suggestions welcomed 🙂

Re: Unable to image on vmware-server

I ran into this problem when imaging fedora and windows xp after I
upgraded to VM Server 1.0.4. It seems the kernel on the Zen boot disk
doesn't like, or can't find, the hard drives. I fixed this by emulating
SCSI drives instead of IDE.

Hope this helps
