Re: Unable to upload icon for bundle

OK - thanks.

To be honest, I was hoping Novell could resolve this issue without the need
to open a SR - the issue must have been reported to Novell Support /
engineering already?....

Pretty basic functionality that is broken if you ask me 😞

Yes the issue is report and a defect has been raised against this. A
fix has not been made yet for this issue though.

I agree with you, but I do not make any of the desicions 😞

Re: Unable to upload icon for bundle

You can manually put an .ico file into that path and it will work. I cannot figure out how to get say moricons.dll to work though...

Mount to your windows machine with:

mount -t smbfs -o username=<username>,workgroup<domain or workgroup> //<ipaddress of your machine>/c$ /mnt/<mountpoint>

mkdir <mountpoint> if it does not already exist.

Then a simple cp /mnt/file to the /opt/novell/zenworks/share/tomcat/webapps/zenworks/images/appIcons folder

Definitely feel your pain with them not having it fixed yet though...

Hi,

Have just installed ZCM 10 on a SLES 10 backend. Have created and uploaded

Re: Unable to upload icon for bundle

Hello all

I hope i'm just asking the same question again, I was a little unclear after reading this thread. I presume the following issue is the same issue still outstanding as I have not been able to get icons working in bundles on freshly installed ZCM 10.0.1 Windows server.

When trying to add an icon I click Edit Icon in the ZCC and then click browse to try and choose the file. I then get the following error in the browser (IE6)-

"Object does not support this propery or method"
URL- https://zcmserver/zenworks/jsp/index.jsp?pageid=bundleDetails&__VIEWSTATEVERSIONGET=2916

Is this the same result that everyone else is getting?

Does anyone know a way to work around this in a Windows environment?

Regards,

Jonathan

Re: Unable to upload icon for bundle

Shuan,

I had installed the ActiveX control on my PC and have uploaded other files to ZCM, however I just tried uploading the icon from another computer and it works fine. In this case its clearly my PC at fault and not ZENworks... right, back to my corner I go.

Thanks for your help.
