ZCM backup and restore confusion

I am trying to develop a disaster recovery plan for our ZCM environment and thought I could go ahead and post a new thread for some assistance.

We have two primary servers and one satellite imaging server. The database is on an external SQL server.

From what I understand I will need to perform a nightly backup of the SQL server, a nightly backup of the content-repo folder on the imaging server and having two primary servers means I won't have to perfrom the zman backups?

I am also confused on the two primary servers. I just added a second server this week and I assume it is replicating with the first server. I can't http in to the second server, but is that by design?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Eric

Re: ZCM backup and restore confusion

Both servers should be functionally the same in everything they do.
So, yes, you should be able to "http" into it though I'm not exactly sure
what you mean by that.

The main difference is that the 1st server is likely your "Certificate
Authority" and should be backed up.
You should immediately backup the configuration on your current server.
Once the 2nd one is working, back it up too.

Re: ZCM backup and restore confusion

I can now access the second server. I think I understand the backup restore process now.

Thanks!
