ZCM login problems

Ok here we go...

I have been rebuilt my Windows 2003 server lab from scratch and reinstalled Windows XP SP2 on my test workstations. I installed the agents and am now getting the following error when trying to login to the ZCM Zone. This happens with or without the Novell Client installed.

"Unable to log into the Zenworks realm because the system has disconnected from the network and the specified credentials did not match the credentials cached on the system.

- You must specify the credentials used to previously log into the Zenworks realm from this system.

- If your credentials have changed since the last login, you must reconnect the system to the network to be able to login to the Zenworks realm

Note: Repeated unsuccessful attempts might clear the cache and prevent you from logging in to the Zenworks realm."

I have unregistered and reregistered the workstations and also have verified that the ZCM servers are in DNS.

Any help would be appreciated.

You are able to browse the user source in ZCC and view the user objects?

Yes I can. I can even assign policies and bundles to a user source.

Re: ZCM login problems

Hi,

I'm experiencing the same problem.
Tried about everything;

DNS (forward & reverse) = OK
Certificate (based on DNS) = OK
Installing an agent = OK
reporting managed with the correct server/ip number

Cannot Login with the same messages reported in this thread.
IP /DNS is OK
Packet trace of a login doesn't show any packets from the WS to the Server
and the other way around.
FileMon and Regmon don't give me a clue either...

On some workstations i can login, until i remove the local cache, then i
can't login either...
So it seems some are authenticating with cached credentials...

nwgina.log seems to be OK, credentials are being passed
zenlgn.log gives me following;

ZENLGN [1D8-1DC] [16:07:50:661] Calling ZENIsServerAvailable
ZENLGN [1D8-1DC] [16:07:50:677] Returned from ZENIsServerAvavilable
ZENLGN [1D8-1DC] [16:07:50:677] Could not find any available servers
ZENLGN [1D8-1DC] [16:07:50:677] LgnGetPassiveLoginRetryParameters entered
ZENLGN [1D8-1DC] [16:07:50:677] *pdwRetryCount = 0
ZENLGN [1D8-1DC] [16:07:50:677] *pdwRetryInterval = 15000
ZENLGN [1D8-1DC] [16:07:50:677] ZenLgnLogin entered
ZENLGN [1D8-1DC] [16:07:50:677] Workstation is disconnected, primary server
is unavailable, or cancel
ZENLGN [1D8-1DC] [16:07:50:677] was hit when prompted for user credentials.
ZENLGN [1D8-1DC] [16:07:50:677] About to call ZENVerifyCache in agent
service
ZENLGN [1D8-1DC] [16:07:50:692] Returned from ZENVerifyCache in agent
service
ZENLGN [1D8-1DC] [16:07:50:692] About to call ZENLoginCached in agent
service
ZENLGN [1D8-1DC] [16:07:51:037] Returned from calling ZENLoginCached in
agent service
ZENLGN [1D8-1DC] [16:07:51:037] ZenLgnLogin returning 0
ZENLGN [1D8-1DC] [16:07:51:037] ZenLgnLoginUI exiting: 0

"Could not find any available servers" gives me clue, but pinging the server
on ip and dns isn't an issue.

So I removed the agent and did a re-install... no luck...
So i deleted the user source (which seems to be OK) and recreated it... no
luck either...

So any suggestions are welcome.

When you did the first installment did you use the server certificate?
And what certificate did you use when you got it to work? CA from the tree?

Thanks /Jocke
