ZDC: throws Java-Error

Hi,

prior to an update ZCM11.4 -> ZCM2017 I try to run ZDC as descripted in
the documentation.

I login as root to the first ZCM-Appliance, unzip the
ZENworksDiagnosticCenter.zip, chmod 744 for the file named 'zdc' and run
# ./zdc verify -v systemfiles -b ./conf/systemfiles.zdc.conf

But I get this error:

============ SNIP ===============
# ./zdc verify -v systemfiles -b ./conf/systemfiles.zdc.conf
_________ ____
|__ / _ \ / ___| Novell ZENworks(R)
/ /| | | | |
/ /_| |_| | |___ v 0.9 (17.0.0)
/____|____/ \____|

java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException
at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method)
....
============ SNAP ===============

Any hints?

In prior versions the file extension was zdc not zdc.conf, are you sure you are pointing to the correct zdc file?

Yes, suffix is .zdc.conf.

But, ... (shame on me) this is perhapps the wrong version ...

It is possible to upgrade from 11.3.2.0 to 2017?

I think this is not supported. So I have to Upgrade to 11.4 and then go
to 2017.

Thx

Re: ZDC: throws Java-Error

The servers must be upgraded to 11.4.0 1st and then to ZCM 2017.
Make sure the Server OS is supported in each upgrade...that is often a hiccup when changing 2 major versions.
